Thank you for taking a peek, I am Sophie the mind and designer, florist and baker, behind Big Day Blooms and Cakes based in the Vale of Belvoir. I have a zest for bringing together the prettiest of flowers to create perfect wedding florals and crafting truly wonderous wedding cakes. And the awesome thing is, that when I bring these two skills together, I can create flowers and cakes that really complement each other: really showing off the vibe you have chosen for your wedding day.
I am never happier than when planning and making pieces that reflect the love and happiness that my couples share, and this passion is evident in all my creations.

Sophie provided the floral elements and cake for our wedding in October, and couldn't have done a better job. From the moment we sent an enquiry, through to the delivery of the flowers and cake, her communication, flexibility and service was exemplary. She took us through the various options, and took our initial ideas and turned them into a personalised colourway presentation - to visualise the elements all together. This included a cake sketch - which really tied both the flowers and the cake together. We had the opportunity to sample all the cake choices at the planning session, which affirmed our choice in selecting Sophie to be our supplier - they were delicious! We had planned to host a sit down, wedding breakfast, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, our reception was cancelled at the last moment. Sophie was incredibly flexible, and transformed the floral table elements into a decorative garland for the church entrance - the focal point of all our group photos. She did an amazing job of packaging and presenting the flowers and cakes, with instructions on how to fit/present the flowers, and how to serve and pack up the cake. We had Sophie do our wedding cake, flowers, table plan, place names and decor. We knew from our initial consultation that we were in very capable hands and from her professionalism, friendliness and expertise we knew we could trust her with so many important aspects of our big day. Sophie shared our vision from the start after just sharing a few Pinterest photos with her and she built on that to come up with fabulous options and ideas which we had not considered. Sophie’s floristry knowledge was so useful in helping us choose what flowers to use and the arrangements she created were beautiful. Sophie helped us choose our cake flavours and the cake tasted absolutely incredible! She even catered for our son’s allergies. Nothing was too much trouble for Sophie, even when I was indecisive, changing ideas and adding things on at the very last minute! Sophie was friendly, approachable, calm and reassuring throughout. Communication was excellent and our whole experience with Sophie was exceptional. Sophie delivered to our venue on time and collected what we had borrowed the following day.
