STYLED SHOOT Late Summer Wedding Inspo
Well while the summer sun is missing from the Midlands, we will be sure to bring you all the bright and zesty vibes! Inspired by the current trend for smaller more laid back weddings, this styled shoot is showcasing on our the county's lesser known gems; Belgrave Hall.
Dating back to 1709, this lovingly restored former family home provides the perfect backdrop for a more intimate wedding ceremony. Nestled within two acres of serene walled gardens, Belgrave Hall and its surrounding outbuildings, retain much of their original architectural character, period features and detailing.
STYLED SHOOT Gorgeously Gothic
Yaaaassss! Be still my gothic heart; we are totally in love with this stunningly moody styled shoot. Set in these impressive grounds with the imposing shadow of beautiful Newstead Abbey in the background, this shoot was pulled together by Samantha of Willow & Rust Weddings and featured the work from some of the East Midlands wedding crew. We have to say, the dress is super special (we adore a bride who dares to go dark) and the florals are pretty fabulous too. Delve into this gallery of gorgeousness while Samantha tells us more about the inspiration behind the shoot…
Minimalist Romance at Wollaton Hall
Set in a beautiful glass house in Wollaton Hall…
“I love to organise styled shoots, in the hope that it will inspire couples planning for their weddings. Blush and grey are a perfect match and although they’re widely used at weddings, they are rarely used to product a moodier look for the table. The silk runners and candles really tie it all in, but it was the beautiful centrepiece created by Catkin Flowers that was the real show-stopper. I’m a massive fan of asymmetrical, natural flower arrangements, so this was a dream to shoot!
STYLED SHOOT Run Up That Hill
The landscape of this shoot is what inspired me. It is a patch of farmland near me and whenever I pass it, it gets me daydreaming about an adventurous elopement. I could not get Wuthering Heights out of my mind when I passed this place, I could not get the thoughts of an incredibly intimate wedding on the hills, the sharing of personal vows and the wind swirling around a pair madly in love.
| STYLED SHOOT | Edgy Love
Looking for an edgy vibe for your wedding day? This shoot shouts all things cool and modern. With its bold colours and structured florals, it totally compliments the industrial vibes of venue, Shack Revolution, to a tee. We’ve been told the inspiration for this shoot was to create something edgy and modern and this talented bunch of suppliers certainly pulled that out of the bag; it definitely stopped us in our tracks when we spied it on Instagram.
Shack Revolution, a super cool wedding venue set in Hereford, offers the perfect backdrop with its brick walls and dark wooden features for the romantic colour palette of pinks, peaches and deep rouges; so dreamy!
| STYLED SHOOT | Love Rocks
Curated by Ruby at Love Birds Weddings and Events, the styling screams modern boho with its neutral colour palette and beautiful mix of fresh and dried blooms. Ruby tell us “With dried flowers and muted colours being a big 'on-trend' style for 2021, it was the obvious choice. I adore collaborating with other like-minded creatives and when I came across Oddhouse Farm I knew instantly it was the perfect setting and gathered together the team for a styled shoot.”
| STYLED SHOOT | Rustic Charm
Stretton Manor Barn is a unique and secluded wedding venue set within 22 acres of Derbyshire countryside. The barn is full of rustic charm, with reclaimed stonework and traditional timber cladding and offered a romantically rustic backdrop for this stunning styled shoot.

When this one landed in our inbox, we might just have let our a little squeeze! Take a minute to just take in all that gorgeousness; if this shoot is not perfection when we don't know what is. Whimsical, etherical, pretty and earthy, we just love every detail. Set at Sherwood Glade, a new venue, set in acres of beautiful unspoilt woodland in the Nottinghamshire countryside where you can have your wedding under the canopy of the trees or under the canvas of their three large Tipi’s, this shoot focuses on sustainability. Shoot organiser, Samantha from Willow and Rust Weddings, tells us more...

| STYLED SHOOT | It'll Be All White
When done right, keeping it simple creates stunning results and this shoot is the perfect example! A neutral palette of whites and greens ran through the styling, stationery and table settings, alongside statement blossom trees in the entrance hallway and we couldn't love it any more!
The Kedleston Country House is a quintessentially English countryside venue and has some totally gorgeous features, including the skylight in the Orangery and vast open windows which allow for some great light streaming in through the dining room. The wooden tables and mis-matched chairs lend themselves well to the theme whilst also adding a touch of rustic charm. It really is a pretty special space.
