Christmas Wedding Inspiration and Red Wedding Dress

Tis the season to…fall in love! And we have done just that with this festive wedding editorial. And that red dress, WOW!

Here’s Claudia to tell all….

“From the luxurious red taffeta gown to the rich dark green velvet & gold cape, to the tweed suit, to the fragrant garlands that adorned the table & the quantity of candles on wooden & glass candle holders that were placed carefully on the table to enhance it, we wanted to create a traditional Christmas feel for this project, encompassing rich colours, textures & decadent touches.

The lambeth style cake with its over piping, including draping & garlands showcased a dramatic & on trend wedding dessert, complete with ribbons, fairy lights & bespoke pearl decorated bow added to this - because surely more is more!

Personalised mugs were made for hot chocolate & a dessert table full of sweet treats, including delicious doughnuts & cookies. So many of the couples that Genevieve has spoken to recently are opting for a slightly smaller cake & choosing dessert tables to give their guests choice.
Our RHS Award winning florist created a bespoke statement hoop, instead of a traditional bouquet, to add an element of personality to this shoot, along with a top pocket display for our grooms suit - showcasing a little more of a statement for his floral display.”

Claudia, tell us about the venue?: “Oaklands Hall Hotel is a stunning Victorian Country House, with over 40 bedrooms & is set in approx 5 acres of parkland. It is based in North East Lincolnshire. It has a number of rooms that can be used for weddings & celebrations, for this collaboration we chose The Longs Lounge, facing the front of the property with a large bay window allowing lots of natural light & with its current decoration it offered us a slightly cosier feel that one of the larger spaces that is available in the House., allowing us to plan what felt like an intimate traditional wedding breakfast for a party of approx 10 people.”
