Sally & Ragnar
Our first post-covid19 wedding is a super intimate ceremony at the beautiful Old Vicarage Boutique
Sally and Ragnar experienced the absolute heartbreak of having to postpone the wedding they'd lovingly planned due to the Covid19 lockdown. When restrictions were slightly eased, they had the opportunity to celebrate their love with an truly intimate ceremony with the most cherished people in their lives. It might not have been the big day they'd been planning but the love shone through just as brightly. Esther Louise Triffitt, their chosen photographer for the day, tells us more about their day and gives a little insight into what post-corona wedding days look like...
"Sally and Ragnar were due to get married at The Old Vicarage Boutique on 8 April 2020 and were my first couple to have their wedding postponed. They initially moved their wedding back to 22 July 2020, and then moved it again to 13 March 2021 as the July date was looking less and less likely to be able to go ahead. When the government announced that mini ceremonies could commence they jumped at the chance to do the legals on their second date and officially got married tied on 22 July 2020.
With just Sally’s parents, Sally’s son Ben and their two friends as witnesses, the afternoon was so beautifully intimate and the stunning grounds at The Vicarage made the most perfect setting for such a unique and special occasion. The team at The Vicarage made everyone feel so welcome and comfortable, temperature checks were taken care of discreetly and there was plenty of space outside to enjoy the moment together, whilst at a social distance.
This was the first post C19 ceremony for the registrars and they handled the situation wonderfully; despite having to incorporate some changes to logistics the ceremony ran smoothly and everyone was aware of how things would unfold beforehand.
Everybody present knew how special this occasion was. Weddings are always a wonderful, joy filled experience - but we all knew this was something extra special.
Sally and Ragnar were my first couple to have to postpone their wedding, and my first couple to emerge out the other side of lockdown stronger than ever. I can’t wait to celebrate with them in March when they enjoy their full wedding day - and there’ll be hugs all round!!"
