Rustic & Handcrafted
Leah & Sam
"Our wedding day was simply perfect. I know that must sound like a cliché, but we cannot think of any other way to describe it that does the day justice!
When we started planning our day, we thought hard about the type of wedding we wanted and how we wanted our guests to feel. The most important thing for us was that our guests enjoyed themselves! We wanted it to feel like a family gathering and a real celebration, and to keep things relaxed and informal.
We danced the night away with our family and friends, in fact I don’t think I stopped dancing all night! We ended our evening with just a few family members and close friends, sat outside under the stars sipping fizz and eating wedding cake, wrapped up in blankets, and it was simply perfect.
We planned our wedding in just under 10 weeks, due to receiving some sad news about my (Bride) mum’s health. When we got engaged on 17th April 2019, our plan was to get married in September 2020, but unfortunately when we knew my mum wouldn’t make it to then there was no question but to bring the wedding forward. Unfortunately however, my mum didn’t make the wedding, and sadly passed away 3 weeks before. Whilst it was extremely sad, and not having her by my side on the day was one of the hardest things I’ve done, I took comfort in the fact that she’d been to every venue appointment, met with my caterers, florists and helped my pick out my dress.
As you can imagine this did have some bearing on the wedding day, but we were keen to ensure that the day remained a celebration; a celebration of our love for each other, a celebration for the love we had for all our friends and family and to celebrate the amazing woman who was the Mother of the Bride.
From the moment we woke up on the day to the moment we retired to our honeymoon suite we didn’t stop smiling, our day was filled with many emotions, but the overwhelming one was happiness. Looking at the photos and our video, our day was filled with love, laughter and silly dancing! And that was perfect for us."
Jade & Ben
Hazel Gap Barn really was the perfect setting for Jade & Ben's Asian-inspired celebration, and we love how the couple incorporated subtle yet stylish bohemian vibes.
Jade's father passed away six years ago, so they chose to play a beautiful video to him via a projector screen so that he could still be a part of the special day. Their canapés was so incredible they skipped the started and tucked straight into the main meal, a hog roast. For their wedding cake, the bottom tier has a song written on it that Ben, the groom, had written for Jade. All the romance!
For purse-friendly yet scrumptious treats for the guests, Jade and Ben put out sweet and biscuit jars which everyone enjoyed. This delightful duo also provided their guests with blankets and umbrellas so they could make the most of the outdoor space at Hazel Gap Barn.
Let's take a look at their rather beautiful big day...
Louise & James
Louise & James's wedding was relaxed and picturesque, set in Snowdonia National Park. Louise is a bridal make-up artist and had seen hundreds of venues in the North West, and since having their little boy they had always gone to North Wales for family getaways. This lovely couple knew instantly that Hafod Farm was the perfect place to get wed, with accommodation for 20 over a three-day period. Their big day has more of a 'wedding weekend' vibe with plenty of personal touches.
Their little boy walked the bride down the aisle, while the family pug Minnie was also there to celebrate! Louise & James spoilt their guests with canapés for starters, fillet of beef for the main and scrumptious chocolate brownies for dessert, along with pizza in the evening around cosy fire pits. With an epic live band, everyone partied the night away...
Corrianna & Daniel
Corrianna and Daniel had an intimate and relaxed wedding ceremony & reception at the very pretty Stoke Albany village hall in Leicestershire. Legally married the day before, their good friend was then officiant for their ceremony in front of 50 friends and family. They then had an informal seating plan and mezze style wedding breakfast at the hall. Their big day was brimming with love, fun and laughter, so dive into the gallery...
Debbie and Liam
Debbie & Liam had an incredible boho & industrial winter wedding at The West Mill in Derby in February 2018. The styling of the day was all designed & created by the bride Debbie, who is an interior designer - she did an amazing job. Using greenery, candles, ceramic pots, beautifully printed signage she created her boho wedding dream. She also made her own bouquets with her bridesmaids & played a part in designing her own wedding dress - which was the most beautiful winter wedding dress! Every last detail of the day was thought out & presented perfectly.
Sarah & Sam
This wedding is dreamy – everything about it! From that gorgeous Grace Love Laces gown to the DIY elements and personal touches. In fact, almost every detail and decoration was created by the bride, Sarah and her lovely wedding helpers. With 12 bridesmaids in white, plenty of sunshine and some rather cool tipis, this wedding is bound to inspire your very own celebration. Captured by one of our faves, Rosie Kelly Photography, Sarah and Sam are here to tell us more…
Liam & Catherine
Liam and Catherine got married at St Katharines Church in Wiltshire - it was the same church that her grandparents got married in, so it really was a special setting. The couple opted to have their reception at Fullingbridge Farm Barn, which is beautiful new wedding venue with plenty of style. This gorgeous duo wanted their day to be fun, relaxed and quite simply, a celebration of their love with their friends and family. They swapped the traditional three course wedding breakfast for wood-fired pizzas, which proved to be a real crowd-pleaser among their guests.
So, divine into this stunning autumnal countryside wedding...
Danny & Emily-Rose
"We crafted and designed every part of our wedding with the help of our friends and family. This had always been my dream so that our day completely reflected us, coincidentally it also helped with the budget! Our wedding was a church ceremony followed by a barn reception, it had a rustic, nature centred and boho feel to it created through our hand-crafted décor. Our main aim of the wedding was for everyone to have fun and enjoy it almost as much us, the venue gave us a head start on this as it came with an amazing maze as part of the beautiful gardens, this was the icing on the cake."

Bursting at the seams with beautiful, personal details and a dash of country romance, you will be truly inspired by their wedding. Let's hand you over to the bride, Michelle, so you can find out how they planned their stylish celebration…
"When planning our wedding we wanted to make it about us so we sat down and thought about all the things we love. Daniel and I have a love for travel and adventure, a love for country music and country life, a love for DIY and a love for all things naturally beautiful. We set these ideas as the foundation for our wedding and with the help of our incredible friends and family, we created our fairy tale dream.
We made the decision to get married less than a year after our engagement and believed that we would just be able to do it if we used all our creative skills. From crafting the table names, to the bouquet to our hand made hangers and favours. We did not miss out on any of the things we felt were important."
