Bloom Filled Botanical Wedding

We just adore everything about this beautiful wedding - the peachy tones, the mismatched but coordinated bridemaid dresses and all the fun and joy that comes through the images. Natalie has agreed to fill us in on her big day...

She says “Although we had spent 18 months planning an outdoor wedding we woke up to rain on the morning of our special day. On the morning of the wedding the groom and the groomsmen had the task of setting up the venue with the hope that we still might manage to get outside. However, the rain continued throughout the morning and at 1.30 we met together to say our vows in the rustic wedding barn with the sound of the rain gently patting the roof. I had four bridesmaids who wore a combination of different pink dresses all sourced from ASOS and Dominic had 5 groomsmen, two of whom had travelled across the world to be there. During the ceremony two of our friends played the guitar and the Cajon to some of our favourite songs.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a range of canopies and myself and Dominic braved the rain to get our photographs outside. I had to make sure that the trail of my dress did not drag along the muddy ground and both groom and photographers did a good job of protecting me with an umbrella. Luckily during the afternoon the rain cleared up and the guests were able to explore the garden and the venue and we were all able to get our all-important photos outside.

The theme of our wedding was always going to be botanical and actually the rain added to this as the gardens became very dewy and the perfect setting. My bouquet was perfect and was made up of a range of pink and peach flowers and green foliage as were the centre pieces on every table. Avant Garden also provided a beautiful wedding arch that sat behind the top table with greenery and glass balls with fairy lights to decorate. We provided the guests with succulents for centre pieces and provided a homemade sweet cart throughout the day which was also decorated with flowers and greenery.

At 4.30 we all sat down for our Wedding Breakfast which was shortly followed by the speeches. Soon after the evening guests arrived along with a photo booth and the band that played non-stop party anthems all night. We cut our beautiful three tiered botanical style cake which was decorated with flowers provided from our florist in front of all our guests. After this we took to do our first dance and then the music continued all through the night… It was the perfect day that I will remember forever!”
