A wedding of warmth, charm and fabulous florals!

When Anna from Pear & Bear Photography submitted this wedding we couldn't wait to share it with you. From hanging flowers to a beautiful cake table where friends and family baked cakes, we loved hearing all about how they kept the day about them and didn't feel the need to follow certain wedding traditions. Here's Anna from Pear and Bear who captured their day beautifully to tell you more about Emma & Liam's relaxed affair....

As long as the day is how you imagined it, that’s all that matters!

“I was very, very excited in the lead up to this wedding, and it certainly delivered! Emma and Liam had their wedding at The Manners Arms in Knipton, near Grantham. They wanted an informal wedding, and it was a perfect example of an informal, stress free day. I admire their determination to keep it this way, and they even chose not to follow some wedding traditions in order to really make the day theirs. They arrived at The Manners Arms together just after midday, after Emma had her hair and make up done by Gemma (who was also a bridesmaid!) at MeMe Hair and Beauty. They also chose to walk down the aisle together, which was wonderful! I really admire couples who make brave choices. You may sometimes be met with a few surprised glances, but the truth is, as long as the day is how you imagined it, that’s all that matters!

The Cake Table!

Emma and Liam also ensured that their family and friends were very much involved in all preparations. Their friend, Louise, from Number 27 Floral Design lent her hand with creating some gorgeous centrepieces, as well as beautiful bouquets for Emma and her two bridesmaids. They chose to have a wedding cake table, instead of one single wedding cake, and they were all baked by their closest family and friends. As you can see in the photos below, they looked delicious!

The Evening

The dancing tunes were courtesy of an awesome band. Instead of having a first dance, Emma and Liam opted to dance together with their family and friends, which I also think is a great idea! Especially if you’re dreading the thought of a first dance, which I know I did! I managed to sneak a few photos of the happy couple dancing together though!”

Oh, how we love a good wedding story. Especially one which literally exudes warmth and charm and those flowers – simply gorgeous. Thanks to Anna from Pear & Bear Photography for submitting this beaut of a wedding.
