Rural elopement celebrating Emily and Steve's love
For some people, a big white wedding just isn't for them! Maybe the time involved in planning feels too much or the idea of being centre of attention is daunting. Elopements and super intimate weddings can be a great solution for those feeling this way and can absolutely still be just as beautiful, special and stylish as a huge wedding; stripping back all of the extras to leave love and commitment at the centre of the day and that is exactly what Emily and Steve did. We absolutely adore the images, captured by The Light Painters, from their (little) big day!
Emily tells us (really beautifully) about their choice to opt for a smaller day...
"I want a marriage more beautiful then my wedding". Sometimes we find ourselves becoming consumed with having the 'perfect wedding' so our theme wanted to strip it all back to the most important factor in all of this, a couple in love. Forget the flowers, the cake, the guests; and you are left with a couple that are simply celebrating their love for one another. We approached the shoot in a laid back boho style, contrasting perfectly with the glorious British countryside.
We wanted to go somewhere with breathtaking views, striking scenery contrasting perfectly with my boho style dress. Cubar Edge allowed us to use so many different scenes, rocks, grass, straw, allowing us to truly get lost in what we were celebrating, being in love. Hannah caught this perfectly. This location allowed us to act as if we were the only 2 people in the world."
