A gorgeous rustic glamour wedding for Eloise & Richard…
Eloise & Richard decided to give a rustic wedding theme a modern twist, instead opting for a rustic glamour style for their special day. They chose to use a chic rose gold colour scheme throughout their wedding decor and worked in floral wreaths and stag heads as a backdrop and throughout their wedding stationery to give it that 'rustic' vibe. They also used a unique geometric cake stand as a modern alternative for their show-stopping wedding cake. This wedding was full of gorgeous details, so let's take a look at Eloise & Richard's stunning wedding celebration…
OUR CAKE WAS AN ABSOLUTE SHOWSTOPPER!
“We got married at St Mary’s Church Greasley where I was baptised and close to where we both grew up. For the reception we wanted somewhere our guests didn’t really know of, ideally set in the countryside but with a modern feel to it. We heard about The White Hart Inn, a relatively new venue and we fell in love with it the minute we saw it. The views were breathtaking and it had such a relaxed feel to it and we could picture our guests having an amazing day there.
I was really keen to get creative and it was important that we could put our own stamp on the venue when it came to decor to make it unique to us, when we saw the room where the wedding breakfast would be held we knew we would be able to do this and with the breathtaking views we knew knew this was the right venue for us.
I love rose gold at the minute and knew it would have to be the main colour scheme throughout the wedding, and I knew it would add a bit of glamour but to tie in with the countryside venue we introduced floral wreaths and stags heads. We had rose gold sequin table runners on all the tables and each centrepiece was different and was surrounded by candles and votives. Behind the top table as a backdrop to the bride and groom we had wooden shutters with a huge wreath with our names in the centre in rose gold calligraphy.
I hired some things but all the centrepieces I shopped around for as I knew exactly what I wanted. The cake table was my favourite, our cake was an absolute showstopper! I found two geometric shapes that I wanted the cake to sit on, I want sure it would work but when I saw it come together it looked amazing!
The most personal bit to us both was when our 9month old son came down the aisle in a wooden cart with a sign saying ‘Daddy here comes Mummy’.”
MY WEDDING DRESS WAS A CHAMPAGNE - BLUSH HUE
“The wedding dress was Justin Alexander, it was lace in a light champagne/ blush colour with a beautiful low back with crystal embellishment and capped sleeve, my shoes were blush pink and rose gold Ted Baker shoes to tie in with the colour scheme. I didn’t want the bridesmaids to wear something too traditional so they had dresses with a lace keyhole back and dipped hem in a blush pink with rose gold sandals. Again we didn’t want traditional suits for the groomsmen so we chose tuxedos.”
WE HAD A PIMP YOUR PROSECCO STAND
“We had canapés on arrival and a pimp your Prosecco stand, a three course wedding breakfast with three option for people to select from and for the evening we had ‘food stations’ with food from around the world. We had fish and chips, burritos and a huge meat and cheese platter . We also had a sweet table.”
I CREATED A DIY PHOTO BOOTH FOR OUR WEDDING GUESTS USING A SEQUIN BACKDROP
“We had a photo both I created using a sequin backdrop and surrounding it with fans, we had a Polaroid camera and box full of props and a book for people to stick their photo in and sign. We had a personalised wooden board with our initials on with a floral wreath and stags head surrounding it for people to sign for us as a keepsake. In the evening we had a disco.”
ANY ADVICE TO FUTURE BRIDES & GROOMS?
“Take a few minute throughout the day to sit back and soak it all in as it flies by in the blink of an eye!”
