A Rustic-Glam Affair For This Gorgeous Couple
The lovely Cassie & Dan chose The Boat House, Aston Marina as the setting for their ultra-glam yet rustic wedding celebration. Get stuck into the gorgeous gallery, as their special day is guaranteed to leave you feeling inspired…
A LOVE OF GLITZ AND GLAMOUR…
“Cassie & Dan’s gorgeous day at The Boat House, Aston Marina, saw the couple compromise to bring their different tastes and ideas for a theme together – with Dan’s passion for the outdoors and desire for a rustic feel to proceedings blending beautifully with Cassie’s love of glitz and glamour (although Cassie feels she got more of her own way in the end)!
As soon as they set eyes on the venue they knew it was for them – ticking all the boxes for on both of their lists and meeting the brief of being both modern and rustic. The couple especially loved how open it felt and how the indoor space blended with the outside surroundings.
Despite things not going totally to plan – Cassie and Dan originally wanted to get married outside but, due to wind on the big day, moved the ceremony into the boat house overlooking the marina – both agree they now wouldn’t have had it any other way. The ceremony was full of love and laughter, with not a dry eye in the house – even ‘the boys’ shed a tear or two…”
LOTS OF LOVELY DETAILS…
“Details were important to the couple, with tables named after places they had visited together, the bride’s favourite being the top table – Disneyland – marking a surprise trip from Dan for her 30th birthday. Cassie put her love of crafting to good use, making all of the wedding stationery including invitations, table plan and name cards, thank you cards and tags for disposable cameras – adding a photo of the couple in the place they visited to table cards. Cassie also made the favours – the couple wanted something a little different so opted for personalised pink and white M&Ms presented in a small jar and finished with a twine bow.”
SOME SERIOUS AISLE STYLE…
“Individuality shone throughout this wedding, with Dan opting not to wear a suit as felt it wasn’t ‘him’- eventually opting for Cassie’s suggestion of chinos over the shorts he’d originally planned on wearing. All agreed Dan looked amazing, with his outfit choice making him stand out from the groomsman and letting the groom share the bride’s prerogative of being able to dress how they really want to on their big day and feel truly confident and comfortable in what he was wearing.”
A WEDDING VENUE WITH A DIFFERENCE…
