TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY...
“Guests started arriving at half 12, whilst the bridal party enjoyed some fizz inside the villa, and then it was time for the ceremony! I walked down the aisle to a song written and recorded by my husband. This had all the guests getting emotional, but it’s okay, tissues were on hand! The ceremony was performed by Andes sister Joy, and she did an incredible job, and included a ‘sand ceremony’ which is where you combine two different colours of sand to signify two people coming together, once the sand comes together it can never be divided again, we loved this!
We then had a cocktail hour/photos in the sunshine before a gorgeous dinner under the gazebo. The meal was a traditional Italian meal, the food just kept on coming! There were breads, meats, cheeses, pasta, and a range of some incredible local Italian wines that were grown just a handful of roads away.
We were then whisked away at sunset for our couples portraits by our amazing photographer Veronika Ward! Both me and my husband couldn’t recommend her more, she is a lovely human being and did a great job at capturing our special weekend!
Then it was party time, we had our first dance to a cover of ‘dancing queen’ by Arthur Walwin, who is a close friend of ours. And we had an open bar, sparklers, ice cream cake, (Nutella flavour,) and of course, a pizza buffet!
Me and my husband danced long in to the night, surrounded by our closest friends and family! The weekend ended the day after our wedding, where all the guests returned to the villa for a bbq and pool party! We actually had a brief period of time where we went and had some photos alone on the beach, and then the night ended by letting lanterns go at the villa and a late night dip in the pool!
It was truly a gorgeous weekend, and everything we ever wanted for our special day! I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
TELL US ABOUT YOUR VENUE...
“We viewed the venue the year before around the time we knew we would be getting married, it was gorgeous without any decoration. Simply looking out from the villa sold it to us. The views were astounding, and the villa was well looked after by the helpful and friendly owners of the villa!”
DESCRIBE THE STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING...
“Rustic, boho, wine. Most of our decor was flowers and greenery, the theme was wine red, black, and blush, and lots and lots of leafy greens! My gorgeous maid of honour hung ribbons from all of the trees, and my sisters put petals over the tables/floors.
White table cloths, black Venetian style table runners, and a thick green garland running down the middle. We had wine bottles with fairy lights and candles all around the venue decorating walls and tables, signs made from corks, and rustic wooden names for everyone’s places.”
WHAT DID YOU ALL WEAR?
Riki dalal designer dress bought from Lori G Bridal. It was the style Cordelia from the Shakespeare collection!
The top layer was decorated with small flowers and divided my panels down the dress split by lace motifs.
The middle layer was PURE GLITTER! It shone through the top layer and sparkled as the sun hit.
I had 2 different pairs of shoes, heels for the day from Irregular Choice, they were white glitter with silver wings on the back, they were divine. And for the evening, I had custom stoned doc martens, (I always wear docs and am never found without them,) they were white and covered in Swarovski crystals with ribbon laces, this was all done my my amazing and creative mother.
They were light grey chiffon material, and were actually purchased from Asos! I had to find a style that suited all of my bridesmaids, so we went for a flowing style with a fitted top in a cross cross wrapped fashion, which came to form a flowing wing at the back of the dress.
They had suits from Slaters, we got the grooms suit first, we knew we wanted grey, and when trying them on, we decided to go with a check pattern. We then matched the greys to a plain suit for the groomsman.”
WHAT DID EVERYBODY EAT & DRINK?
“Local wines and Prosecco, and then an open bar with spirits and beers in the evening.
Herb focaccia, tomato focaccia, mixed meat selection, cheeses, and honey.
Melon and Parma ham cleanser.
Melon and feta salad.
Beef ravioli (heart shaped).
Thinly sliced pork loin in a citrus sauce.
Nutella flavoured ice cream cake. A selection of pizzas for the evening buffet.”
HOW DID YOU ENTERTAIN YOUR GUESTS?
Save the date jar
Wedding favours(hand fans, confetti, bottle opener key rings, chat up line card, bubbles).”
