An effortlessly elegant wedding day…
"Our wedding day included being surprised with a horse and carriage, beautiful autumn sun and the most perfect venue and gardens. It was filled with laughter and happiness with all of our special people, and we loved having access to the grounds and Estate accommodation for the whole weekend.
Our day was captured by the most fabulous and fun photographers who also provided us with their open-air photobooth - The Luxbooth - which added a fun touch to the evening celebrations."

TELL US ABOUT YOUR VENUE…
“The first time we had a look around Doddington Hall we knew this was the venue for us. The hall, gardens and Coach House are absolutely beautiful and they offer use of these along with the Estate accommodation which includes their beautiful cottages. They only ever have one wedding over the course of a weekend which added to the specialness of our day.”
DESCRIBE THE STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING…
“We wanted a classic style for our wedding so we decided to have flowers for our main décor. We were so lucky to have our wonderful sister-in-law’s mother – who is a wonderful florist – do all of our flowers for us and these really set the venue off. We chose ivory, green and blush pink which was a beautiful and classic combination. We had calligraphy place cards and personalised favours which kept to the classic, floral theme.”
WHAT DID YOU ALL WEAR?
“I found the most beautiful dress at Jaynes Bridalwear in Lincoln. They have such a stunning range so I had a number of appointments until I decided on the one! I found my dream shoes from Bella Belle and I would recommend these shoes to other brides looking for a beautiful and elegant shoe as they are super comfy! My bridesmaids wore Rewritten dresses in Oyster colour which were so simple yet beautiful. The Groom found his suit in Reiss and he decided on a two tone three piece suit. The ushers wore matching three piece navy suits from Next which looked gorgeous against the bridesmaids’ dresses.”
WHAT DID EVERYBODY EAT AND HOW DID YOU ENTERTAIN YOUR GUESTS?
“Our venue offered a range of menus including a BBQ menu, a cheese board menu and an afternoon tea menu. We opted for a classic three course wedding breakfast washed down with plenty of prosecco and wine! Our evening food was a range of meat joints slow roasted on the bone served with artisan breads.
We were so lucky to have such beautiful weather so we enjoyed the autumn sun in the walled garden following our ceremony. The Father of the Bride created a slideshow of photos of us over the years and added on some video footage of us during our ceremony so guests could watch this inside the Coach House. We opted for more of a fun option for our favours so we provided our guests with a scratch card each and we used our photographer’s open-air photobooth – The Luxbooth – during the evening, which was the perfect way to capture special moments of our guests being silly!”
ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES & GROOMS?
“I didn’t expect for our day to fly by so quickly so enjoy every single second and *relax*! I had the most relaxing and fun morning which really set me up for the rest of the day!”
