Hey, I'm Laura Jayne. A sunset seeking, outdoor loving, dog mamma who's passion in life is to capture memories that will last a lifetime. With a storytelling, natural & relaxed approach I adore photographing moments; the little details and the pure emotions. I am a non-obtrusive photographer and take pride in putting people at ease, making the most camera-shy people relax in front of the camera. I relish in capturing the atmosphere of your day, the connections between family and the personality of my clients through natural, non intrusive and emotive photography. I've been told by clients before that they hardly even knew I was there, meaning I can capture the day as it happens, in its most authentic way, so that you never have to forget any moment. I also aim for my couples to enjoy their wedding day to the full, which is why I don't carry large set ups, rarely use flash and blend in as much as possible. I have been known to help button up the wedding dress, pass out tissues to the emotional father of the bride, transport bouquets to the church and carry the brides lipstick! I am not just a photographer, but a personal assistant, a wedding day organiser, a helping hand and someone who's easy to talk too. I feel so lucky and privileged to be welcomed into the most precious, special and significant days of your lives. The feeling that your photographs will be viewed for many generations excites me. They too will feel how special it was to you on the start of this beautiful journey and the next chapter of your life together, as one. I don't think I can put into words how amazing Laura has been. My words will not be enough to describe what an incredible, professional and all round amazing person Laura is, but I will give it my best shot. What led us to booking Laura was how her photos are taken and how natural they are, they weren't forced and looked so relaxed; the vibe we were going for. The second reason we chose Laura was the feedback from her clients, we just knew we wanted her photographing our day. She is also just an all round lovely person and very approachable. During the lead up to our wedding we were always kept informed on everything and anything we needed to do, she was also very easy to get hold of if we needed to. On the day, Laura was my 4th bridesmaid! She kept me calm (believe me I was verging on a panic attack!) and she made me feel at ease. She also fixed my veil multiple times due to the wind blowing it out of my hair! When it comes to the photos, it is hard to put into words how perfect they are. Nothing was too much trouble to get the perfect shot and Laura ensured we got the perfect golden hour/sunset shots we wanted. But the main thing I wanted to say, is Laura has a way of capturing the emotion in a photo. She captured some special moments of greeting guests, the speeches, the dancing; the list goes on. I look back at them and I'm transported right back to the moment in the day. Laura captured photos I didn't even know I wanted capturing. These photos will be treasure forever and we can't thank Laura enough for doing what can only be described as an out of this world job. Laura was incredible! We never contacted any other photographer before we booked her for our day - we knew, just by looking at her portfolio on instagram and from reading the brochure, that you she the one. Laura exceeded all expectations. Easy to contact and super speedy with responses. From the minute we met her on our engagement shoot, she put us at ease and was incredibly patient with our lack of confidence in front of the camera. The whole way through she were kind, approachable, reachable and reassuring. The images from our wedding are just stunning. It was lovely to see so many candid images of the day that we didn’t necessary get to be there for. Laura has a natural talent for turning the ugly crying faces into something beautiful. What can we say about Laura? From our first enquiry where we chatted about our dogs to discussing albums after our big day, the whole experience has been an absolute dream. Communication was excellent throughout. She has this way about her that just settles you and we knew straight away that we had chosen the perfect woman for the job. It’s clear to see the passion she has for her work and that she genuinely cares about her clients. The package we chose included an engagement shoot and although we’re both a bit nervous in front of a camera, Laura made us feel at ease the second we met. She was so easy to get along with and was full of ideas. As soon as we saw our photos, our nerves about our wedding day disappeared as we knew we were in safe hands. As for the day itself, Laura outdid herself. She blended in perfectly and so many of our friends and family commented on how lovely she was. She really does go above and beyond,nothing was too much trouble. Inspired by her past work, we even made a last minute decision a few days before to include sparklers. She coordinated this effortlessly and the results are stunning. We received a handful of photos the day after the wedding which we were obsessed with and then came the whole gallery less than two weeks later. Every single photo is of the highest quality and you can genuinely feel the love she puts into editing too. Nothing felt forced on the day and it shows in our photos, we couldn’t have wished for better. She captured so many beautiful and funny moments that we’d missed ourselves in the whirlwind of the day. I don’t even know where to begin with writing about Laura Jayne. I could go as far as saying that I wonder what I would have done without her on my wedding day. She was so much more than just a photographer. She stepped in as a friend, a comforter, a personal assistant, a wedding coordinator you name it she was it, she was everything I could of hoped for and more. Sorting my wedding flowers out repeatedly in water, the grooms buttonholes, getting things that were missing for us etc all things that were not her responsibility but she was there to help and support us. As a photographer she was beyond amazing, she made sure before our wedding that she checked in with us and covered what we wanted on our wedding day. On our wedding again she was beyond wonderful, and made an impact on everyone there, she made sure that she got all The photos we’d asked for, and asked if there were any others we were thinking of in between but when it came down to our couple photos she made myself & my husband feel so comfortable. And of course it goes without saying our photos are absolutely stunning, and for that I owe her the most gratitude as these are what I have to show everyone our special day and I couldn’t be prouder of them. All I can say is wow. We were recommended to Laura and from the moment I first contacted her I knew she was the one. Laura is friendly, approachable, very responsive and just so professional in what she does. Due to circumstances we had a small intimate ceremony in April and then had our full day in September. With many changes happening due to Covid, Laura was there every step of the way and nothing was ever a problem. Neither James and I are a massive lover of photographs but Laura makes you feel so natural. I just love her style. On the day, Laura was not only shooting away but was also on hand with last minute touches, helping to do buttonholes, getting me into my dress and constantly putting my dress right throughout the day. We have recently had our photographs through from our full wedding day in September and they are just stunning.
