A Tweed Affair with Pretty Quirky Hire

We have worked with Jack and the team at Pretty Quirky Hire for quite a few years now and are always impressed with their unique and creative flair when it comes to styling weddings. They really know what works and the results are always amazing. Their photo shoots are certainly no exception. Here, we have a quirky photo shoot which took place at a very unique location and Jack tells us all about it;

"Our team of local, professional and friendly suppliers were handpicked to enhance all the details I wanted to squeeze in"

Wymondham windmill is a beautiful mill nestled away in the Leicestershire hills, surrounded by grazing horses and quiet roads. A rare and peaceful haven that has lots to offer including its very own quaint tearooms. The owners of the mill are working hard to restore it to its former glory and are full of passion, which I hugely admire.
Our team of local, professional and friendly suppliers were handpicked to enhance all the details I wanted to squeeze in. ¬†The choice of props were all used to embrace the natural beauty of the mill and its surroundings. The mill is a bit of a landmark for cyclists and the use of “Horace” our tandem was used to reflect this. The illuminated maple trees and LED hurricanes were used to bring a real sense of cosy twinkle through the enchanting woods that stand next to this 200 year old mill.

The Team Involved

Our creative florist Sue from Hollands Flowers added the colour to each of the scenes with her beautiful blooms. Every picture is eye catching and the flowers that Sue used matched our theme as well as the models attire beautifully.
I wanted to take the tweed trend further with our groom and inspire males as well as the females. It’s important for the guys to remember they can accessorise too, maybe even change their look through the day. Robinsons of Stamford advised us perfectly on what would work and supplied everything we needed for the full Traditional British shooting look.
The ‘Danielle Couture’ dress from the Wedding Room in Stamford¬†worked perfectly with it’s delicate lace back and shoulders. Our model looked fabulous thanks to our hair and make up lady Kelly Warner, Kelly fitted her talents to the brief perfectly.
Harvey & Harvey Photography did a great job in capturing everything we had set out to achieve. The quality of the photos speak for themselves and showcased everyone’s hard work perfectly.
