The Musings of a Chief Bridesmaid by Ruth Terry
3 weeks and 1 day to go till little sister’s BIG day! My partner and I have been staying at my Mum and Dads this past week as our bathroom is being worked on so I’ve had lots more time to see my sister and work with Mum on pulling together the last little details for Katie’s wedding! Its been lovely!
We’ve been working on a table plan, which we’ve put together ourselves; I think it looks so different from what you normally see and I’m really pleased with it! What do you think?
All you have to do is get a large mirror and lots of different sized frames; we then used Velcro to add the frames to the mirror and Dad will glue the large frame to the top! We just need to print off the list of names for each table and add them to the frames so people can see which table they’re sitting on!
We’ve also done lots of sweet shopping for the sweet table (yummy), we worked out that you need around 150 grams of sweets per person so Mum has been on a sweet spending spree and bought mini love hearts, marshmellows, skittles, Turkish delights and bananas and shrimps! We’ve also got some scoops and the most gorgeous little sweet bags I’ve ever seen! We found them on ebay under the shop name ‘Flowering Basket Co’ – how lovely are these! (below)
In my last blog I promised a couple of images of my sisters pre-wedding shoot which she did in July with the fabulous Butterworth photography…
Finally, it’s the hen do next Saturday, we’re going for a champagne lunch in Nottingham and then all back to mine for the nude life drawing class and hen party games, I’ll be sure to post some pics in the next blog!
Until then, enjoy the rest of August xx
