The musings of a chief bridesmaid …
Ruth Terry, our chief bridesmaid is back! And she’s got some top tips for all you lovely brides out there planning your big day:
Well, temperatures have recently been higher than average for this time of year…yippee! Hopefully this means that Spring is finally here. In light of this I’d like to share a website which I found with some gorgeous Spring inspiration!
In the past I’ve dealt with brides who didn’t particularly love the chairs which came with the venue. If you don’t fancy chair covers then try something different! In most cases it’s absolutely no problem to hire and bring in your own chairs (just get your venues permission first!). This is exactly what we’re doing for my sisters wedding in September. The chairs at her venue are too big and bulky (and red!) so we’re going to hire some Chiavari white washed chairs which are more in line with the rustic countryside theme of her wedding anyway, yay! We’re hiring the whitewashed chairs from a company called You Can Hire, they’re based in Sheffield but they are offering the best deal at just £2.40 a chair with delivery charges on top. These chairs are extremely popular and usually around £3.75 a chair (if not more) so it’s a whopping great discount! Check the company out here – http://www.youcanhire.co.uk/
Last weekend my sister, mum and I are went back to The White Room in Southwell, the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses were ready to be tried on and fitted. Once again we all had a little sob when my sister came out in her dress which fit her perfectly…it really is all falling into place! My bridesmaid dress however was a bit on the baggy side so I’m now a work in progress! If you’re starting your wedding dress search and you’re in the Nottinghamshire area I would definitely recommend The White Room (http://www.thewhiteroombridal.biz/index.html
) there’s lots of choice, the staff are really friendly and the prices aren’t too bad either!
Until next time! Ruth x
