The musings of a chief bridesmaid ….
Ruth is a Wedding & Events Co-ordinator at a venue in Derbyshire. She’s also a vocalist soon to be performing at weddings, she helps organise a music festival, she’s just moved into her first house with her partner and the most important job of all…she’s chief bridesmaid to her sister and her best friend!
On Wednesday I travelled to travelled to Newcastle with the Save the Date ladies for a summer soiree hosted and put together by Annabel who runs one of the UK’s most popular wedding blogs: Love My Dress. I was so excited to have been invited to this event and when we arrived at the venue I wasn’t disappointed! The place was beautifully decorated, the entertainment was spot on and the cocktails were delicious! The dress code was vintage & glamorous and it was lovely to see that everyone made such an effort. Here we are working the look… (in a rather moody, grainy looking pic!)
We also had a bit of a play in the photo booth which proved very popular with…well everyone!
Overall, a great night was had by all. The cocktail hangover/headache the next morning was totally worth it!
As the Save the Date Wedding Event with a difference draws closer I’ve been starting to put some wedding packages together for my acoustic duo act. I’ll be performing at the event and I’m hoping to get my first wedding booking! I’m getting a website put together soon too so I can get some tracks on there and you can judge for yourself. In the meantime I wondered, what’s the one song you hate to hear at a wedding? I know everyone has a different opinion and one song you hate someone else might love but there must be a couple of songs that just should not be allowed under any circumstances! I’d love to know what you think.
The music festival I help organise is on this weekend so it’s a busy one for me. Whatever you’re up to have a lovely weekend and I’ll be back in 2 weeks x
