Sustainable Soiree at Dunston Hall

Nestled amongst the stunning landscapes of Derbyshire, Dunston Hall and its stunning grandeur offers a picturesque setting for this styled shoot. Blending timeless beauty with contemporary sustainability practices - from locally-sourced flowers from a British flower farmer, to styling with recycled materials - this shoot perfectly captures the essence of eco-friendly elegance. Concept and planning by Eilish Shepherd of Peak Patisserie, here’s Eilish to tell us more:

“Sustainability is at the heart of this shoot, taking inspiration from British grown flowers and vintage décor to showcase that sustainable weddings are just as beautiful as traditional. I worked with local and eco-friendly suppliers to create a shoot that showcases the true beauty of sustainability. Working with a local British flower farmer, a venue stylist who uses reclaimed and recycled materials, stationery on seeded paper, handcrafted rings using sustainably sourced metals, and a host of other local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint.

“Taking inspiration from the flowers in season and the popularity of a dusky blue colour scheme, we combined peach tones to create a gorgeous spring/summer palette, with vintage plates and glassware to really offset the pops of colour.

“Enhancing the beauty of the venue, we used popular floral trends to add a romantic statement to the day, with flower meadows, and pocket boutonnieres, repurposing all flowers across the ceremony and reception to reduce waste and also as a great money saving tip.”

Set at the beautiful recently refurbished Dunston Hall in Chesterfield, the team behind this styled shoot were able to work closely with the venue team to truly bring these gorgeous surroundings to life. Dedicated wedding spaces include The Garden Room and The Stables, with lots of greenery in the outside areas too.
