Getting to know…

Your big day is getting closer and the items on your wedding ‘to do’ list are slowly but surely getting ticked off; book venue, tick, perfect photographer selected, tick, cake ordered tick, tick, tick! But wait a minute, how are you going to keep your guests entertained after the ceremony?

There are many key events in the ‘Order of the Day’ where your guests are gathered together to partake in photos or witness the first dance but what about all those gaps in between? Don’t worry, 9 Hole Event Hire have every lull covered so you can just relax and enjoy yourselves whilst your nearest and dearest are having fun:

Early Birds – if your guests arrive at your venue prematurely they won’t have to stand around aimlessly, instead they can grab a putter and play a round or two as our portable crazy golf course will be ready and waiting for them. We usually have everything all set up and ready to go by mid-morning meaning the fun starts as soon as your guests arrive. An early set up also allows the wedding party to get a cheeky game in before things get busy!

Drinks Reception - as everyone mills around, laughing and joking, a round of golf is the perfect accompaniment to a glass of bubbly!

Speeches - who doesn't love a wedding toast! What about the young ones, getting restless, wriggling in their chairs? Sending them to let off steam on the golf course will be great fun for the children and allow the adults to listen to all those embarrassing stories from the best man, in peace!

I don’t dance – when the music starts most of us would begin busting out the moves but not everyone considers themselves a ‘twinkle toes’. Having our crazy golf gourse as part of your day means that everyone is catered for when it comes to being entertained.

Ice Breaker - there will be A LOT of standing around for your guests, made up of different groups of friends and family who probably won't know one another. Pass them a club and point them to the course and they will all be chatting away in no time. Let the banter commence!

Competition - the kids like to play for fun but the adults like to play to win! Who do you know who will be starting up a tournament and competing to get the most 'holes in one'?

Whatever time of day it is, you can rest assured that your guests will be having fun and making memories, leaving you free to relax and enjoy yourselves, safe in the knowledge that everyone is having a great time. You may even get to have a round or two yourselves. Just remember, whoever wins on the wedding day gets to brag about it forever more…
