| STYLED SHOOT | A Bountiful Harvest
Where better to toast your nuptials than in a vineyard itself and it might surprise you but you won’t even have to jump on a plane as The East Midland’s own Hanwell Wine Estate offers you a truly unique wedding venue. When this styled shoot landed in our inbox, we just knew it would provide perfect inspiration for you and would be a must for this issue. We will hand over to the organiser, Vickie from Sage and Belle to find out more about the inspiration behind this intimate and dreamy shoot
“We wanted to create something relaxed, informal, organic and rustic. Being at a vineyard, we wanted to bring the produce into to the shoot, so in addition to flowers we also used lots of fruits: grapes, plums, damsons and figs to create our “bountiful harvest’ theme. There were even small olive trees. Nestled in amongst the fruit and flowers were cute rabbit and mice figures – just as you’d get in nature. There were lots of candles of various colours and even the place cards were made from handwritten figs.
Hanwell Wine Estate is a vineyard near Melton Mowbray. They have a small converted barn that can be used for more intimate weddings, but is also the perfect spot for a tipi wedding. Couples get exclusive use of the venue and the owners are very flexible about how they use it. In addition to the converted barn, there is a lovely courtyard area with some converted stables, a small orchard which makes a beautiful backdrop for an outside ceremony and a lake which offers a lovely setting for photos. There is also the vineyard itself which is quite a unique thing in the East Midlands.”
