Sparkling Inspiration: New Year’s Eve Wedding Ideas

New Year’s Eve is a magical time of year to tie the knot, it signifies new beginnings and we can’t think of a better way to start your happily ever after. Team all of this with an incredible party atmosphere and all of your loved ones and you’ve got yourself a corker of a wedding celebration. Today we’re looking at how you can create a sparkling New Year’s Eve wedding theme, so let’s get stuck in…

We’ve seen some incredible white wedding dresses from our Save the Date Brides (you can view them all here), but have you ever considered rocking a gorgeous gold gown? It’s the perfect choice if you fancy adding a dash of glamour to your aisle style or if you want something a little more unusual. Your team of ‘maids will look divine in a range of metallic sequin dresses, why not offer them a palette of gold, copper, rose gold and even silver? Your hubby-to-be will look handsome in a classic black-tie ensemble, the perfect pick for the party season!

Get the party started with your very own cocktail bar! You could create a self-serve station by decorating a vintage-inspired trolley with lots of metallic straws and gold-rimmed glasses. We suggest serving two signature cocktails – do you and your partner have any favourite choices?

Make your wedding photographs stand out by asking your guests to light sparklers or throw golden wedding confetti. This will help to tie your theme in together beautifully and you’ll get some show-stopping images that you can treasure long after the big day.

When it comes to decorating your wedding venue for New Year’s Eve, we recommend using lots of golden lanterns and candle sticks for a warm and romantic glow. You can use them as part of your table centerpieces or simply to decorate your card and gift table.

Transform your wedding tables with golden charger plates and gilded cutlery. You could even add a gold sequin table runner or perhaps use black details for an ultra-stylish look. You could use chic black napkins or tie your cutlery together with a black velvet ribbon for a hint of luxe. Gold-dipped feathers can be used to decorate your wedding tables and can even work as escort cards – your guests may want to take them home after the big day too!

A New Year’s Eve wedding is a wonderful option for the style-conscious couple and it will suit any style of venue, whether you’re celebrating in the city or in the middle of the countryside. It’s the perfect way to kick-start your life as Mr & Mrs…
