So, What Makes The Wedding Event with a Difference, Different?

Something-Big-is-happening.

If you’re recently engaged and planning your wedding, chances are you’re beginning to look at various wedding ‘fayres’ across the region for inspiration and ideas for your big day. Well, before you look any further, you need to experience a Wedding Event with a Difference.

Taking the term ‘wedding fayre’ to a whole new level, the wedding event with a difference was founded by two twenty something girls (creators of Save the Date magazine) back in 2010 and has become THE wedding event for every bride throughout the Midlands.

Having analysed all the other ‘fayres’ up and down the county, Lydia & Abbi took on the challenge of creating the Wedding Event with a Difference to really offer something totally different and above all, inspirational for brides to be who are excitedly planning their big day. With five successful events now under their belts, the event just gets better and better and more and more in demand and each time, the team of organisers develop new and fresh ideas to always stay ahead of the trends.

The next Wedding Event with a Difference takes place on Sunday 13 October at the award winning Roundhouse on Pride Park in Derby. Complete with over 80 amazing exhibitors, this upcoming event is set to be our biggest and most creative one yet.

As a bride to be attending our event, having parked in the dedicated car park, you arrive at the registration desk to a team of ‘Save the Date’ staff where you will receive your goody bag, exhibitor map & guide and information for the day. Then it’s time to begin your wedding event with a difference experience ….

Before you enter the Roundhouse, immerse yourself in our ‘Festival Chic’ zone which will be sure to inspire you. From a retro ice cream van to tipi tents and a fish and chip van, this brand new zone has been introduced to the event this time and we are so excited for you to see it!

We still have our favourite zones too such as ‘Vintage Corner’ for all those nostalgic, bespoke items to create a unique and personal day and ‘All things Pretty’ with beautiful blooms, creative stationers and generally anything pretty and gorgeous.

‘The Kitchen’ hosted by catering experts Fiona Herbert Catering Company will be open for you to enjoy snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Along with this, we have our eagerly anticipated catwalk show which just gets better and better each event. Showing three times throughout the day, you DO NOT want to miss this incredible show. We also have more entertainment than ever, from acoustic singers to string quartets and live bands; we’ve got it all covered to ensure you’re entertained from the moment you arrive.

We have a pop up hair studio from award winning James White Hair so make sure you stop by plus our seminars are packed with advice from the professionals including a flower tutorial from Campbell’s Flowers and ‘banishing those photography fears’ with Rachael Connerton Photography. Timings for these seminars will be clear in your event guide so don’t miss out!
