Rainbow Wedding Colour Burst by Darby & Joan Weddings & Events

Today we hand you over to the styling guru Karen from Darby & Joan, with her first wedding decor post for 2015 and today it’s all about colour!

“Hello and a very Happy New Year to you all. I hope that you enjoyed the festivities over Christmas and if you found an engagement ring under the tree, then congratulations!

We are kicking off our 2015 with Save the Date with a colour burst post that is sure to blow off the cobwebs and bring a little fun to your day.

Did you know that Rainbows symbolise happiness, hope and promise? A wonderful premise for your wedding and after all, why choose two or three colours when you can choose them all?!

It may be a look for a brave and statement bride, but guests will be bowled over with the boldness of your choice. A huge colourful party with some kitsch and fun thrown in to the festivities.

Let each of your Bridesmaids pick their own dress or shoe colour and your Groomsmen can go crazy with some bright accessories.

Embrace the playful elements of a rainbow by having pops of colour throughout your wedding venue, think streamers, balloons, pom poms, flowers and stationery.

A rainbow burst wedding may not work in just any venue , I suggest a raw empty space such as a barn, marquee, tipi or an industrial venue. A more established and already furnished venue may cause problems with existing and potentially clashing décor styles and colours”.

Have a great weekend, Karen. Darby & Joan.
