The Prettiest Easter Styling For Your Spring Wedding
Happy Easter weekend to all of our lovely Save the Date readers! We hope you’ll be enjoying a weekend of celebrations and of course, indulging in an Easter egg or two. Spring really is a splendid season to tie the knot, especially if your special day happens to fall over Easter weekend. With that in mind, and to get in the festive spirit, we’re talking all about the subtle ways you can give your Spring wedding a pretty Easter vibe. Whether you want to go all out or give your day just a nod towards the season, we’ve got some truly fabulous and fun ideas that we think you’ll love…
We think a pastel colour palette is a super lovely option for a Spring or Easter wedding. It’s soft, sweet and the perfect fit for the season, and it offers lots of colours to choose from! You can create your theme by opting for a selection of pastel bridesmaid dresses, which is great for your girls as they can choose their favourite pastel hue. On the subject of aisle style, Spring is a wonderful excuse to don a floral wedding dress or even a gown with a hint of colour. Blue gowns always look gorgeous, and it could even be your ‘Something Blue’ for the day!
It wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter egg hunt, right? Don’t let your guests miss out on all of the fun! If you are lucky enough to have a venue with beautiful gardens, make the most of the space by creating your very own wedding Easter egg hunt. It will be fun for both the adults and children and it will be an easy way to keep everyone entertained before the wedding breakfast. Make sure you have a plan B in case the weather isn’t playing ball – it might be nice to have an Easter-inspired activity book for the children to play with during the reception. Jars of mini eggs are an easy Easter wedding favour and you just know that your guests will appreciate them! You could place them on the guest tables or you could create a designated Easter dessert table with an assortment of chocolate treats.
Eggs can also make fun place name cards and they will add to the décor on your tables. Simply write the name of each guest on an egg, you could tie it with a ribbon for a pretty touch.
When it comes to decorating your place settings, we suggest using pastel charger plates and a sprig of Spring posies. Opt for mason jars tied with twine ribbon and fill them with tulips, daffodils or greenery.
Cherry blossom is the ultimate Spring bloom, so make the most of it throughout your Easter wedding! It’s undeniably pretty and be used in lots of different ways. From photograph backdrops to table décor, ceremony archways to bouquets, this elegant flower is the perfect way to add a hint of pink to your day.
When it comes to your wedding cake, make it stand out from the crowd! You could decorate it with an Easter-inspired cake topper, such as bunny ears or cherry blossom. It will look too good to eat, and it is a fun nod towards the season.
Easter really is a lovely time to tie the knot, and we wish you a very happy Easter weekend from Save the Date Magazine!
