A Botanical Paradise

From the very moment you set eyes on this epic styled shoot, you'll be transported to a dreamy botanical paradise, with Buxton Pavilion Botanical Conservatory as the backdrop. Tess Viera Photography submitted the shoot, collaborating with some of the best suppliers in the area to create an inspirational shoot that will leave you swooning. So, let us hand you straight over to Tess so you can find out a little more...

“I was very lucky and excited to have the team of lovely suppliers on board. The majority of the suppliers were on board within the first two days of my posting the shoot advert. Jenna owner of Wonderland Invites stunning wedding stationery, with a bespoke design for the shoot, was created for the shoot in under two hours of having Jenna being on board. She’s amazing!

Bethan of Finishing Flourishes provided the atmosphere for the shoot, using just the right amount of candles and foliage so as not to take away from the venue itself. Her moon gate brought everything to life and had the public wanting to catch a glimpse of the shoot from outside the conservatory.

Urban Cakehouse made an incredible wedding cake for us, hand painting green and gold leaf under sugar leak foliage on four clean white tiers.

Jen of Wild Flower Hair Company and Laura-Louise Make Up Artist were just the best to work with, using only my Pinterest images for reference and creating an ethereal, natural look to die for.

The crowns (or headpieces as you’re supposed to call them) provided by Rachel Chaprunne, were fit for a queen and had our model looking regal amongst the foliage of the conservatory. SO beautiful.

The jewellery pieces were provided by Judith Brown Jewellery, the delicate gold and silver necklaces and earrings were a perfect addition to this plant themed shoot, complementing the detailing on our Mori Lee dress (Dress: Ricki 6913), supplied by Nora Eve Bridal. Not only did Judith provide stunning pieces, she pointed me in the direction of our extremely talented model Miriam Rodriguez Juarez who made my job as photographer so easy, absolutely nailing the ‘forest goddess’ vibe we were going for.

This shoot is a testimony to what I love about collaboration with other businesses. So proud of what we’ve put together and already planning the next shoot!

“I wanted this, my first, styled shoot to reflect a part of myself, because I love plants; the way they look and the satisfaction of growing them. I know…such a millennial! It turns out that same sense of satisfaction can come from putting a bunch of creative businesses together and taking photos of lovely things in a botanical conservatory. It was an amazing experience, being able to work with and promote these incredible business women while working towards the same goal: Plant Heaven.”

“The venue was where it all started. Botanical gardens are gorgeous anyway, but the Buxton Pavilion Botanical Conservatory blew me away. When I saw they hold wedding ceremonies in the space, I knew I had to do a shoot there. The high ceilings, huge windows and sound go running water form the small pond create a secluded and spa-like atmosphere. It provides the perfect serene sanctuary for an intimate wedding ceremony.”
