Musings of a chief bridesmaid by Ruth Terry
Another month, another engagement! My lovely friend Cheri is engaged to be married to Steven next year, he proposed to her on their one-year anniversary a couple of weeks ago, awww! I went over to their place last week for a catch on their plans and thoughts for the big day and course; I needed to see the beautiful engagement ring! (below). They’re very organised and already have a venue in mind – Ruddington Grange in Nottingham. Ekk! Another fabulous wedding to attend next year!
Onto my sisters wedding plans (less than four months to go!) and it’s been surprisingly quiet these past two weeks! Katie has been training really hard at the gym recently as she wants to look her absolute best for the big day in September and she’s doing so well. We have another dress fitting at The White Room next week and as I’m singing during the ceremony on her big day, I’ll be heading to the church soon to check out the acoustics and see if a microphone is needed in there! Katie and hubby to be Chris have asked me to sing the Ellie Golding version of ‘Your Song’ as they sign the register and although I’ll probably be an emotional wreak…I’ve agreed!
Next week I’m going to have a go at styling my hair ready for the wedding. If I do a good job I’ll probably do my own hair on the day and my friend will help out with the other two bridesmaids who will have the same style. I’ll let you know how I get on in the next blog!
Have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend!
Until next time x
