Meet the team (and it's doggies) behind Hurley's Wedding Day Dogs

Hurley’s Wedding Day Dogs is a small but well-loved family business focusing on the professional and regular grooming of beautiful hounds.

Here, we chat to the owner Michelle about her background, her love for canines and the inspiration behind this awesome photo shoot ...

Who are Hurley's Wedding Day Dogs?

Hurley’s Wedding Day Dogs has proven to be as popular as what we anticipated, since we began advertising our unique services at the start of this year – and we’re truly loving the support!

Our small but well-loved family business began in 2014, focusing on the professional and regular grooming of some absolutely beautiful hounds. Two years on and with a well established client base, it seemed that there was much more that Hurley’s could offer to the doggy-loving world and from here, our professional pet chaperone service – Hurley’s Wedding Day Dogs – was born.

Owning a particularly handsome Border Terrier myself (the infamous ‘Hurley’), I understand the importance of making sure that any dog not only receives good care, but the best care. From correct handling to endless fuss and love, and as a girl who has had a life-long obsession with these incredible animals, this affection spans to each and every special dog.

Because of this, we understand the importance of sharing the most momentous day in a persons’ life with the whole family – hound, too!

We offer an innovative chaperone service, collecting your beloved pet and safely accompanying him to your wedding venue. Whether it’s for photographs or to have a four-legged ring bearer, we’ll do it all and relieve you of the stresses completely. We’ll walk them and dress them in lovingly handmade bow ties from the talented Hufton Hound and Home or indeed, a floral collar! It doesn’t stop there though, our 5* rated dog grooming service can also be included along with overnight boarding, too. All of our packages are tailor-made and can vary depending on location and requirements.

An incredible photo shoot

This year is continuing to be a great one for us and we’ve been lucky enough to meet some pretty awesome guys and gals in the wedding world, including the true gent that is Ed Godden, the lovely Wendy from Wild Thyme and of course not forgetting Amy Wilkinson and Lizzie Malcolm. We’ve also been very fortunate to be able to include some great friends in this shoot – Kirsty and Esme at Little Creative Caravan, Rosie at Everyone’s Looking Rosie, Shivani with Stella & Dot and our beautiful model, Rebecca.

To have such a talented bunch of suppliers involved in this shoot was a real treat and has resulted in a collection of images that portray us and what we offer perfectly!

This year also saw us being invited to act as a supplier to The Kedleston Country House in Derby. This venue is a dog-lovers dream! From the beautiful location to the Plum & Ashby doggy décor that creatively flows through both bar and restaurant and up in to the boutique bedroom suites. Needless to say, this venue welcome dogs at weddings with open arms and we feel privileged to have been able to work with them.”

A huge thank you to Michelle and the team behind this photo shoot – how adorable are these dogs!? If you have a pet who is your pride and joy, we hope this post has given you the confidence to feel proud to invite your beloved four legged family member to the big day …
