Glamour and Grandeur meets Bohemian Romance at Kedleston Hall
A little while ago, Honeysuckle & Castle, were thrilled to be approached by the National Trust with the request of being the exclusive wedding coordinators for yet another of their properties, Kedleston Hall.
Kedleston Hall is positioned in a truly breathtaking setting with so much grandeur and historic charm. There’s no wonder that Kedleston Hall experienced a taste of Hollywood magic when ‘The Duchess’ film crew selected the property to film a range of stunning scenes from the period blockbuster.
The Honeysuckle & Castle team couldn’t wait to show off Kedleston Hall in all its delight. They have teamed up with some of the industries finest wedding experts to create this stunning styled photo shoot.
Here’s Helen from Honeysuckle and Castle to tell you a little more;
“The shoot itself was captured by the amazingly talented Cathy and Brian of Oehlers Photography . I don’t know what it is with this husband and wife team and stately homes, but they always seem to capture the architectural beauty of historical properties so dramatically which graces the elegance and romance of the venue. We were delighted to be joined by the fabulous sisters, Lorraine & Sandra of Lori G Bridal with a whole collection of stunning gowns….it was sooooo difficult to choose that one perfect dress, we wanted to dress up in them all!
The gorgeous model, Hannah, was made over by the lovely Claire of Claire Lowe Make-up Artist and Hair Stylist
After spending a few hours within the hall, we headed over to Peaktipis who had erected 3 tipi’s and one kung beautifully within the grounds of Kedleston Hall overlooking Adam’s Bridge.
My goodness, the tipi’s looked absolutely incredible..inside and out!
The creative team, Mad Philomena, Fabric Theatre, The Ivory Owl Cake Company, Nadia Di Tullio Flowers and Amanda Hamilton Interior Design -Vintage Deckchair Hire truly went to town!
Liz, of Mad Philomena, was the creative genius behind the styling creating a geometric palace with elegant touches of bohemian romance. The striking colours and the bold shapes beautifully complimented the uniqueness of the tipi’s creating pods of colour.
Liz from Mad Philomena, by hand, designed and created all of the hanging geometric shapes, the geometric shapes decorating the tables, the hanging light up signs, the free standing ‘LOVE’ light up letters and the hanging garlands that hung from beam to beam. Liz too design all of the unique wedding stationery and table decorations, wedding favours and the personalised signs…basically, you name it Liz did it!
Nadia, of Nadia Di Tullio Flowers, created a beautiful hand-tied arrangement, a bohemian floral crown and all of the bold floral arrangements decorating the tables. I can honestly say that the flowers were beyond beautiful. The arrangements were not your typical find at a wedding, however that’s what we LOVED about them. The boldness, the unusualness and the quirkiness beautifully finished that bohemian look that the creative team were aiming for.
The Ivory Owl Cake Company…WOW oh WOW!!! Give this girl a brief and she goes above and beyond. Not only did Vicky’s cakes look amazing, they tasted it too!
Keeping with the geometric theme, Vicky at The Ivory Owl Cake Company created a fabulous treat table that perfectly matched the rest of the tipi décor.”
