So Donna, can you give us a little introduction to Alice Rose Bridal?
Alice Rose Bridal is my lovely little bridal boutique based in Leicestershire. I’d say our boutique is for the bride who seeks timeless style with a contemporary edge. I take great pride in ensuring everyone who comes through our doors receives a personal service, immeasurable care and, of course, incredible gowns!
What bridal designers do you stock and why?
I am so in love with all of our designers and all for different reasons! They each offer our brides something different but each sit perfectly within our brand and boutique vibe We stock Eddy K as I am a huge lace lover and Mr Eddy's Italian design and lace work is unrivalled within the bridal industry- these dresses are seriously swoon worthy! Romantica Of Devon brings a contemporary twist on timeless while we have Dando London for a real modern twist and bespoke standout beadwork. An exciting recent addition was House Of Mooshki which immediately appealed to my vintage inspired 1950’s fashionista side and has endless options. Lastly, It’s A Gracie Mae Day is our very own, in-house collection of Bridesmaid and all-things-Bridey merch! New to the boutique for July 2022.
What is your favourite thing about owning a wedding dress shop?
Empowering our brides to feel their best version of themselves! Seeing someone’s confidence blossom throughout their journey with us is an incredible feeling and I think the best job satisfaction anyone could ask for. I also feel truly blessed to share such wonderful moments with people; it really isn’t just a dress it's everything it stands for. I’m a bit of a romantic and I feel extremely grateful that our brides trust me with this great honour.
Alice Rose Bridals top pieces of advice to brides about to attend an appointment…
1. YOUR BRIDE SQUAD - choose them wisely! Too many opinions can be overwhelming and distracting. Bring those who’s opinion you couldn’t choose your dress without.
2. DO A LITTLE RESEARCH - check out our website and follow us on social media. Make sure we have dresses you are drawn to and get a feel for our vibe. Our aim is to help you find your dream dress and give you wonderful memories to treasure.
3. TRUST YOUR BRIDAL STYLIST - it’s what we are trained and love to do so use our experience and expertise.
4. DON’T BE AFRAID TO SAY WHAT YOU DO AND DON’T WANT - I promise we are listening. If you are nervous for any reason please just say, we can tailor your appointment especially for you, we want you to feel YOUR version of amazing.
