| GET THE GOSSIP | A new head chef and an exciting year ahead for Gail Dandy Catering
With over 15 years of experience catering for weddings you could be forgiven for assuming that Gail Dandy might simply be going through the motions these days, but this isn’t the case at all: ‘I still get so excited about each wedding we do, because everybody always has a unique idea of what would make their day special and I love working with people to create a menu that reflects that.
With a passion for great food, at the heart of Gail Dandy’s success over the years is a desire to always be developing and improving the approach to catering. This has recently led to bringing in a new head chef, Nathan Jackson. Having trained first at Langan’s Brasserie he then moved to learn under Jean Christophe Novelli and work at his Michelin-Starred Maison Novelli.
He took this experience and began working in prestigious venues such as Hush in Mayfair, catering for VIPs at the London 2012 Olympics and even cooking for royalty at the Monaco Grand Prix. Nathan has joined Gail to take the food to a new level: ‘When the opportunity to work here came up I jumped at it as there is such a great foundation and wealth of experience within Gail Dandy Catering, and I saw it as a place where I’d have the chance to innovate and bring new ideas.
Nathan has joined at a busy time, as the company is finding itself increasingly busy at a number of wedding venues, especially at The Pumping House in Ollerton, a beautiful Victorian Grade II listed venue which has been lovingly renovated and recently won The Wedding Industry Award for Wedding Venue (Countryside) Of The Year.
The coming year looks to be an exciting and busy one for Gail Dandy Catering.
