These pieces of scrappy fabric are a great way of adding a little bit of creative décor to your wedding and are also really easy to make!
Emily from Love Me Sew, has put together a DIY tutorial on how to make these pretty garlands!
You will need:
● Twine
● Strips of fabric (mine are about 2/3cm x 20-25cm but can be varied to suit your personal preference).
To make.
1. Cut a length of twine to your desired length
2. Starting from one end of the twine (leaving a long enough piece to use for hanging). Tie a piece of fabric to the twine, making sure to tie the fabric so each loose end is a similar length.
3. Repeat the above step until all your fabric strips are used up or you have created a garland to your desired length.
Tip: Although I randomly mixed my fabric strips, I made sure there was an even spread of colours and textures.
4. Hang to decorate your venue in pretty colours!
Don’t forget that Love Me Sew are offering DIY workshops at the Wedding Event with a Difference on Sunday 13th October.
