Good morning 😉
If you’re new to Save The Date, a warm welcome to the blog! I’m Chloe from the handcrafted wedding blog, www.adorebychloe.co.uk
and every other Friday I drop by to share my favourite DIY wedding projects of the moment. I’ve also just got engaged (literally last weekend!) so as I start to plan my own wedding I’m sure I’ll have loads of creative ideas to show you too!
Today’s handcrafted wedding idea comes from a DIY wedding which I’m going to be featuring on my blog
in a week or so, if I can wait that long! It’s a gorgeous countryside wedding full of DIY ideas and handcrafted touches that made me smile the minute it landed in my inbox. I can’t resist a sneaky peak with this photo…. (taken by DreamLove Wedding Photography
These handmade button table numbers are super cute and really easy to make yourself! All you need is:
– 1 empty picture frame
– A piece of fabric slightly bigger than your picture frame
– A needle and thread
Step 1 – Lay your fabric flat (I’d iron it first to make this easier) then draw on your number
Step 2 – Sew your buttons along the drawn lines to form the number you’d like
Step 3 – Place over the backing board of your picture frame and secure around the back with a little bit of cello-tape or staples
Step 4 – Add the covered backing back into your picture frame and it’s done!
You could also tie in your table plan to the button theme by adding buttons to individual place setting cards like this…?!
I love it, it looks all homespun and lovely… ‘cute as a button’ even (groan)!
See you in a fortnight for more DIY 😉
