DIY Cupcake Flags

Anyone fancy a bit of DIY over the Easter weekend?  We hand you over to Chloe from Adore by Chloe for a DIY instalment on how to make these cute cupcake flags.

We had some friends over for dinner a few weeks ago. One of them is lactose intolerant so I was struggling with dessert until I remembered that my carrot cake recipe is made using oil not butter… phew!

I happily baked my carrot cake cupcakes but wanted to add a little decoration, this is what I came up with…

To make this you will need… kraft paper, a heart stamp, ink, cocktail sticks, glue and scissors

How to make it…

Step 1 ~ Cut out strips of kraft paper that are twice the length you’d like your flags to be.

Step 2 ~ Stamp each side of the flags with a heart in the centre

Step 3 ~ Fold the strips in half, apply glue then add your cocktail stick along the crease and glue them together to form the flags

Step 4 ~ Stick into your cupcakes and serve 😉

TOP TIP – Try using patterned papers or cutting a little triangle out of the end of the flag to give it an arrow shape!
