Planning Advice | How To Choose Your Wedding Suppliers
Choosing your wedding suppliers is a huge part of the planning process. In fact, it will be the area that probably takes the most time and it can be a mixture of excitement and feeling overwhelmed. If you’re new to the world of weddings it can be difficult to know where to start and easy to go off track. Luckily for you, we’ve put together a handy guide for our Save the Date readers to ensure choosing your wedding suppliers is a fun and stress-free experience.
First things first, it’s important to strike the balance between booking your wedding suppliers as early as possible without rushing into things. While you do need to book early on to avoid disappointment, you also want to ensure each supplier is the perfect fit for your special day. There are so many fabulously talented wedding suppliers out there, but it’s vital that you find the one that is right for you!
It’s time to do your RESEARCH! And we cannot stress how important research is when it comes to choosing your wedding suppliers. Our Cream of the Crop Wedding Directory showcases the talents of the finest suppliers and venues in the East Midlands. From stationers to stylists, country houses to marquees, you’ll find everyone you need to create your dream wedding day.
There are a number of things to consider when you are choosing your wedding suppliers to grab your notepad and get clued up. Take into account the style of wedding you want to have – will it be country chic? Industrial vibes? Modern elegance? You want to ensure your wedding suppliers are the perfect match for your chosen theme. You also need to know your budget, as there’s no point contacting a supplier who is way over your price limit. It is also worth taking into account the location of your wedding as many suppliers will work with couples within a certain distance or charge extra for further locations.
When you enquire with a supplier, there are a few things that you’ll need to let them know. Inform each supplier of your wedding date, the location or venue, the service you’re looking for and a brief overview of your day. Make sure you also ask about their availability, prices, packages on offer and information on their payment and booking procedure.
Then it’s time to shortlist your suppliers! Aim to choose two to four suppliers for a consultation so you can get a better idea if they’re the right fit for you. Research again, take a look at their social media and reviews etc and then make your final decision. Don’t forget to inform the suppliers that you won’t be using them out of courtesy so that they can release the date again. Then, the fun bit! Confirm and book with your chosen supplier.
Once you start booking your wedding suppliers, you’ll start to feel incredibly excited as you can see your day coming together.
