We catch up with The Willowmarsh Farm
If you haven’t heard of The Willow Marsh Farm yet, where have you been? Without doubt, one of the top, most stylish and utterly swoon-worthy wedding venues in the region and, in case you couldn’t tell already, we are huge fans! A venue which oozes true soul; probably down to the fact that owners, Simon and Sarah, painstakingly renovated an old outbuilding on their family farm into this rather special, exclusive use venue after not being able to find a place perfect enough for their own big day. As such, the love and care injected into the building shines through.
Not only that, the location is pretty special too. Situated within a working farm which boasts 160 acres of pasture, lakes and vibrant wild marshes, the surroundings are truly unique (amazing photo opportunities anyone??)
But never ones to sit on their laurels, and whilst most of us were munching on our homemade banana bread, Simon and Sarah undertook a pretty impressive lockdown project! The estate now benefits from a further onsite property; the farms former milking parlour has been lovingly transformed into some truly exceptional accommodation (just look at these piccies – how dreamy!).
Offering living and dining, three bedrooms and a bridal preparation space, all wrapped in iconic Willow Marsh stone, this standalone property can be your wedding base from getting ready giggles to hunkering down the first weekend of marital bliss together. We can’t think of anything more romantic, can you?

The grandeur of the Hall’s interiors, featuring intricate woodwork and period details, complements the delicate beauty of the tablescape décor and florals.

We can be forgiven for wanting to float off into our dreamworld of idyllic weddings and not considering the environmental impact of our decisions for that one day. However, what if we told you that you could have your “green” cake and eat it; a sustainable wedding with all the latest trends. Sounds good, right?
Where do I begin looking for our perfect photographer, we hear you ask!
Here’s some top tips and trustworthy advice from the experts…
The variations of deep purple give real depth of colour and are a welcome change from the usual burnt orange and brown we see this time of year. Teamed with the hunter green, these colours are perfect for both indoor and outdoor as highlighted in the final images.
