Elopements are seeing a boom at the moment as a perfect way to tie the knot whilst adhering to the current restrictions. With star-crossed lovers vibes, elopements are super romantic, budget friendly and bring the day back to the basics of celebrating your love for one another. Today’s styled shoot is set in rolling countryside and channels the freedom of the wonderful wilderness with loose, flowing florals, cascading curls, picnics and a beautifully floaty gown.
Here the lovely Lizzie from Elizabeth Malcolm Bridal tells us more about how it all came about. If you’re after blooming gorgeous, bohemian elopement inspiration then this is definitely one for you to check out.
We’ve got such a gorgeous little shoot on the blog for you today. We are really feeling the editorial feel these images have to them meaning they wouldn’t look out of place across the pages of a glossy fashion magazine. Italian inspired, this set up is dripping in luxe elegance with those stunningly huge flower bowls, tapered candlesticks and cut glass tablewear – romantic vibes galore. The bridal model has an air of old Hollywood glamour and who doesn’t love a groom in a tux!
Perfect for a bit of escapism; immerse yourself in this Tuscan treat for the eyes as Masha, the photographer behind the shoot, tells us more...
When Faye from Wild Calligraphy organises a styled shoot, we always know we're in for a treat and this shoot is no exception. Gathering up a super team of local wedding suppliers, Faye and co created a swoonworthy, free spirited spread within the rural backdrop at The Black Swan at Idridghay. Delicate neutral hues with hints of pastel pink and rose gold, fantastic fluffy florals and a couple of killer bridal gowns equal total #weddinginspo goals.
Faye has kindly taken time out to give us a great run down on how her vision for the shoot was turned into reality...
Creating in Captivity - Woodland Edge
An outdoor wedding that encapsulates indoor luxury surrounded by all the beauty and freshness of a quintessentially English garden. The elegant, sophisticated, French-inspired design boasted a hint of contemporary aesthetic mixed with timeless antique pieces.
The inspiration behind this shoot was colour and creativity. After a long and emotional lockdown period, with no wedding work to keep us going, it’s been a really hard time for wedding suppliers. We’ve been missing doing what we love the most, working with our wonderful couples to create magical, cohesive looks that tell your guests who you are. When the lockdown restrictions started to ease, I messaged the girls right away, and the three mood boards were born: Pink + Terracotta, Nude + Black, and modern rustic. We wanted to keep away from specific themes, and work with elements that could suit a wide range of weddings, so that our couples could pick the elements they loved the most for their own big days.
We wanted to wow you with the delicate details, and we’re so pleased with the results. We hope these images give you some inspiration for your wedding. Whenever it happens, it will be perfect!
Autumnal colours inspired the styling for the Outdoor Wedding showcase at Cattows Farm with Sami Tipi back in October.
