Alastair and Jamie
Alistair and Jamie chose Swancar Farm Country House as the setting to celebrate their love story, opting for a rustic vintage wedding theme with lots of enchanting Disney details. They used many talented wedding suppliers (lots of which feature on our Cream of the Crop Wedding Directory), but this crafty couple also included a number of DIY elements for that all-important personal touch. "We wanted our wedding day to be relaxed and informal, with the freedom for us to plan each part exactly the way we hoped. We tried to think about what would be important for our guests to have the best time, as well as trying to make each element personal to us. Our ceremony was held in our local Parish church, which is a tiny church that can hold up to 100 people. We had a close family friend lead the ceremony which was really special to us. We had a short drive to The Old Stables in Swithland for our reception, where we had an extra capri marquee on the grounds for drinks and outdoor games. After a sit down meal, we had a Ceilidh band, followed by a playlist full of songs chosen by our guests."
Catherine & Chris
Catherine & Chris instantly fell head over heels in love with The West Mill, and they knew it was the perfect wedding venue to host their special day. The couple wanted to add lots of personal details to their wedding and they enhanced their industrial venue with lots of pretty flowers and candlesticks.
