The bride’s wedding tip…
”Don’t feel pressured to do the customs and traditions that you think you have to do. Focus the day around your “non negotiables” first to bring your dream to life but ensure you let your personalities shine through at every opportunity - it’s your day to be completely and utterly unapologetically you…. from your choice in entertainment, to your order of ceremony, to the humungous bow you add to your “usually boring” hair!.”

In the brides words…
What were your favourite details from the day?: “Sunrise yoga for the bride and bridesmaid using Stapleford’s pavilion cottage away from the main hotel, the divine and over the top florals in the orangery (the brief was flowers flowers flowers), surprising my bridesmaids with a dress reveal that included a huge custom made bow from the same fabric as my dress which caught everyone by surprise (my hairdresser was so excited to work with a big bow), the live musicians for the ceremony, the fact it was 24° in October when it was supposed to rain so we had a gorgeous champagne tower in the gardens, mum walked me down the aisle (as my dad passed away 3 years before), we were married by my childhood best friend and bridesmaid’s mum who we wrote to Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire registration service to request to “borrow” her for the day (it made it so much more personal), my planners asked if they could keep the reveal of Stapleford’s grand hall a surprise for me and my husband on the day and they absolutely TRANSFORMED the room it was completely unrecognisable and blew even our wildest dreams away, we named our tables after the landmarks we visited in Rome where my husband proposed to me, surprised the guests with singing waiters as desserts were being served, had a safari table for gifts….. just everything about the day!
To close the night we had all 48 of Stapleford Park’s bedrooms as part of the exclusive use package meaning our guests were able to enjoy a huge breakfast together in the morning too.”
Tell us Charlie & Theo, how would you sum up your day in one photograph? “‘Quintessentially’ English garden meets ‘GLAMOUR’. We decided to ditch the pressure from family to keep things traditional and instead make every single moment of the day about us. Whilst family were of course there, our day was also about a big party and genuine celebration of laughter and love with friends. Whilst we agreed on a traditionally English country house venue, we teamed it up with black tie suits, an old Hollywood glamour dress with art deco statement earrings and statement hair bow! Our florals were our main feature and they looked absolutely stunning in a fully lined room with chandeliers and a black and white chequered dance floor. It was just incredible.”
